How to Share cPanel Access with a Team Member Using the Manage Team Option

cPanel’s Manage Team feature allows you to securely share account access with team members, making it easy to collaborate without sharing login credentials. Here’s how to set up access for a team member through this option.

Step 1: Log in to cPanel

  1. Log in to your cPanel account using your credentials.

Step 2: Access the Manage Team Option

  1. In the Preferences section, locate and click on Manage Team.

Step 3: Add a Team Member

  • Click on Create team user to invite someone.
  • Enter the Email Address of the team member you want to invite. Make sure it’s the email they’ll use for login purposes.

Step 4: Set Permissions for the Team Member

  1. After entering the email address, you’ll see various permission options for that team member. You can allow or restrict access to different parts of your cPanel account.
  2. Select Permissions based on the tasks they need to perform. Permissions include access to:
    • File Management (for managing website files)
    • Email Management (for setting up and managing email accounts)
    • Database Management (for creating or modifying databases)
    • Domain Management (for managing domains and DNS settings)

Save Changes once you have selected the permissions.

    Step 5: Send the Invitation

    1. After setting permissions, click Create.
    2. The team member will receive an email invitation with instructions to accept and access the cPanel account.

    Step 6: Team Member Acceptance

    1. The invited team member must accept the invitation from the email they received.
    2. Once accepted, they can log in using the email and password created through the invitation, with access limited to the permissions you specified.

Step 7: Manage or Remove Team Members

    1. To manage existing team members, go back to Manage Team.
    2. Here, you can modify permissions or remove team members by selecting the appropriate options next to each team member’s name.

By following these steps, you can easily share your cPanel account access with team members securely and manage their permissions according to your needs.
