How To Remove an WordPress Installation With Softaculous
WordPress is one of the most popular blogging platforms around for a good reason. It is easy to uninstall. At Yash Host, you can uninstall WordPress in several ways. In this article, we’ll cover how to do so through Softaculous. We created this easy tutorial to walk you through the process and then recap those steps below.
Uninstalling WordPress using Softaculous
- Log in to your cPanel.
- Navigate to the Software section, then click on the Softaculous Apps Installer

3. Click the Installation box.

4. On the next page, a list of your current installations will be displayed.

5. Locate the WordPress website you wish to remove.
6. Click the trash icon.

7. You’ll get redirected to another page where you can completely remove the installation.

8. Click the Remove Installation button to delete the WordPress install completely.
9. A pop-up window will appear requesting confirmation. Click OK.
Note: This process is irreversible. Once you click OK, all website contents of your WordPress install will be deleted.
10. A progress bar will appear. Once the installation is completely removed, a confirmation prompt will appear.
11. Click the Return to Overview link to go back to the Softaculous WordPress menu.
